 General Nash District
 Cradle of Liberty Council

  About

Troop 137 has been serving the Harleysville community for over 60 years and is dedicated to continuing that effort for many years to come. We are part of the General Nash District in the Cradle of Liberty Council and are sponsored by the Harleysville Lions Club. Our Council is part of BSA’s Northeast Region. Our Scouts and leaders are committed to helping each boy reach their full potential in growth and development and we will strive to provide boys with the fun, fellowship, and leadership development opportunities of scouting so that they may become ethical, self-reliant, productive citizens.

Troop 137 is a Quality troop, located in Harleysville, PA. We are a rural community in Southeastern PA. Our boys come from Cub Scout Pack 137, in Harleysville, and Cub Scout Pack 78 in Tylersport, PA. We are approximately 40 strong, with 8 boys who just finished thier Eagles.

We meet every Thursday evening at the Community Scout Cabin. Our meeting run from 7-8:30PM. Parents are welcome to stay, and encouraged to participate. We have strong adult leadership, and they can be a lot of fun on our expeditions!

Every meeting has a specific purpose, planned primarily by the scout leadership every other Monday night at a PLC meeting, with some assistance from the adult leadership of the troop. At our meetings and events, we work on merit badges, advancement, good turns and community service. Troop 137 is very active, and we go on many trips.

This webpage details the happenings within the troop as well as chronicling some of our recent trips and activities. We hope this resource will be able to answer any of the questions you may have about the troop. We are available for questions and comments and are eager to help you make a smooth transition from Cub Scouts or to start your new Scouting career.

We look forward to you looking into our scouting program and hopefully joining us. If you are interested please e-mail us.
